Minister for Finance, Commerce and Business Development Hon. Esrom Immanuel today joined United Nations Resident Coordinator His Excellency Dirk Wagener in signing the UN-Fiji Country Implementation Plan (CIP) 2025–2027, strengthening cooperation on Fiji’s key development priorities.
The three-year Plan is aligned with Fiji’s National Development Plan 2025–2029 and Vision 2050 and focuses on climate resilience, inclusive economic growth, governance, and improved social services.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Minister Immanuel said the CIP represents a practical framework aimed at delivering tangible results for the people of Fiji.
“This is not an abstract framework, but a practical instrument designed to support Fiji’s policy priorities and strengthen our development delivery over the next three years,” he said.
The Minister said the Plan would strengthen coordination between Government and the United Nations system while improving accountability, transparency, and efficient use of resources.
“By signing the UN-Fiji Country Implementation Plan 2025–2027 today, we reaffirm our shared responsibility to move from commitment to delivery, and from plans to tangible results,” he said.
The Plan will guide collaboration between Government, the United Nations, civil society, development partners, and the private sector to support a more inclusive, resilient, and prosperous Fiji.
