The Minister for Finance Hon. Esrom Immanuel and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Hon. Viliame Gavoka inspected the redevelopment of The Westin Denarau Island Resort & Spa, formerly the Regent.
As one of Denarau Island’s first resorts, The Westin is being transformed into a luxury 282 room property following the commencement of upgrade works from 2023. The redevelopment represents a significant investment in Fiji’s tourism infrastructure, supporting the sector’s continued recovery, creating new economic opportunities and enhancing the country’s appeal to international visitors.
Once completed, the upgraded resort is expected to further strengthen Denarau’s position as a premier tourism destination and reinforce Fiji’s reputation as a leading luxury holiday destination in the Pacific.
