Minister for Finance, Commerce and Business Development Hon. Esrom Immanuel has announced targeted relief measures to shield Fijians from the impact of the global fuel crisis. Bus fare increases will be fully absorbed, electricity subsidies expanded for low-income households and small businesses, and additional support provided for vulnerable communities and key sectors.
The Coalition Government says the upcoming 2026–2027 National Budget will focus on protecting people, supporting businesses and maintaining economic stability during the crisis.
