Ministerial Budget Consultations for the 2026–2027 National Budget continued today at Ro Lalabalavu House in Suva, bringing together Government Ministers and senior officials to discuss key national priorities and funding allocations for the upcoming financial year.
The consultations are being led by Minister for Finance, Hon. Esrom Immanuel and Permanent Secretary for Finance, Shiri Gounder, with discussions centred on ensuring that Government resources are directed toward areas that will deliver the greatest impact for Fijians.
Key discussions focused on improving service delivery and supporting sustainable development across critical infrastructure and social sectors, including water, roads, transport, maritime safety, education, health, and employment relations.
These consultations are an important part of the budget process, ensuring that sector priorities are carefully considered, funding needs are assessed, and resources are aligned with Government’s broader development agenda.
The 2026–2027 National Budget will be announced on Friday, 26 June this year.
