The Ministry of Finance today bid farewell to Mr. Nemia Dawai, Head of the Budget Division, in recognition of his distinguished service to the Ministry and the people of Fiji.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Dawai held senior leadership roles as Head of Treasury and Head of Budget, contributing significantly to public financial management, budget coordination, and international cooperation initiatives. His sharp intellect and unwavering commitment guided the Division and the Ministry through complex reforms, extensive consultations, and the challenges of managing public finances.
His steady leadership strengthened fiscal coordination and fostered strong partnerships across government and with international partners. The Ministry acknowledges his mentorship, integrity, and dedicated service, which have left a lasting impact both within the Ministry and across government.
