The Ministry of Finance will convene key stakeholder consultations for the 2026–2027 National Budget on Monday, 20 April 2026 at Level 10, Ro Lalabalavu House in Suva.
Proceedings will commence at 9am with religious groups, including the Fiji Council of Churches, Fiji Muslim League, Sanatan Dharam of Fiji, Arya Samaj, TISI Sangam, Inter Faith Search Fiji, the Archdiocese of Suva, and the Methodist Church in Fiji. These organisations represent a broad cross-section of faith communities and are expected to provide valuable perspectives on social cohesion, community welfare, and national development priorities.
The Ministry also extends an open invitation to other faith-based organisations, including the Assemblies of God, Christian Mission Fellowship (CMF), Seventh-day Adventist Church, All Nations ministries, and other religious bodies across Fiji to participate in the consultations and contribute their views.
Further sessions will be held with civil society organisations and unions from across Fiji, ensuring that diverse voices are captured as part of an inclusive and participatory budget process.
The Ministry emphasised that inputs gathered from these consultations will play a critical role in shaping policy direction and informing resource allocation in the upcoming national budget.
