The Ministry of Finance recently conducted a series of public budget consultations across Navua, Sigatoka and Nadi, continuing its commitment to inclusive and transparent policymaking.
These engagements provided a valuable platform for communities and stakeholders to share their views, priorities and expectations ahead of the upcoming national budget.
In Sigatoka, the consultations created an opportunity to hear directly from farmers, the Sigatoka Town Council and members of the local business community.
Discussions focused on key challenges, opportunities for growth and ways to strengthen support for livelihoods and local economic development.
Engagements in Nadi brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including representatives from the aviation and tourism sectors such as Air Terminal Services, Airports Fiji, Tourism Fiji and Fiji Airways, the Nadi Chamber of Commerce, alongside members of the general public.
These discussions highlighted the importance of strengthening critical industries and supporting sustainable economic recovery and growth.
The Ministry acknowledges and appreciates the contributions of all participants.
