The Training and Development Unit manages and facilitates activities that support the ongoing development and performance of the Ministry.
The Unit priorities are:
- Identifies required training needs, and formulates a Training Policy and Training Plan annually
- Conducts Induction Training for new recruits and mandatory trainings in Occupational Health and Safety, Fire Wardens/Drills and First Aid
- Promotes and arranges training opportunities, including working closely with the Ministry of Civil Service and their annual training programme
- Handles per diem queries from other Ministries and Government statutory bodies
