Promoting Integrity and Accountability in The Public Service

The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) conducted an awareness session on “Understanding Abuse of Office” with staff of the Ministry of Finance, reinforcing the importance of integrity, accountability and ethical conduct in the public service.

The session provided an opportunity for staff to gain a better understanding of what constitutes abuse of office, the responsibilities attached to public positions, and the importance of exercising authority lawfully, fairly and in the best interests of the people of Fiji.

The Ministry of Finance acknowledges FICAC for facilitating this important awareness session and remains committed to promoting a culture of ethical leadership, responsible decision-making and good governance across the Ministry.

Together, we must continue to uphold the values that strengthen public confidence in our institutions and service to the people of Fiji.
