Fiji is seeking to deepen its partnership with the World Bank, particularly in concessional financing, climate resilience, renewable energy and infrastructure development.
The Minister for Finance Hon. Esrom Immanuel made the remarks during a meeting with World Bank Alternate Executive Director for the South East Asia Voting Group, Mr. Mohd Nakhafi Hassan, today.
The Minister acknowledged the World Bank’s continued support to Fiji and highlighted key investments in critical bridges, health, renewable energy and energy security.
He also called for further support in water and wastewater infrastructure, public investment management, private sector development, digitalisation, SOE reforms and skills development.
Minister Immanuel reaffirmed Government’s commitment to strengthening the Fiji–World Bank partnership in support of sustainable and resilient economic growth.
