Fiji has reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable and inclusive economic growth with the launch of the Sustainable Pacific Blue Circle Fund (SPBCF) in Suva today.
Speaking at the launch at Grand Pacific Hotel, Minister for Finance, Commerce and Business Development Hon. Esrom Yosef Immanuel said the initiative will help remove barriers to finance for MSMEs, women and youth-led businesses across the Pacific.
“This is about strengthening Pacific businesses, supporting livelihoods and creating opportunities for sustainable growth,” he said.
Hon. Immanuel said the fund aligns with Fiji’s national priorities on climate resilience, the blue economy and sustainable private sector development.
He also acknowledged the support of the European Union, UNCDF and UNDP in advancing the initiative.
