Ministerial consultations for the 2026–2027 National Budget continued today with a series of engagements involving key government ministries, departments and statutory bodies.
The consultations featured submissions from the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs, Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF), Fiji Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC), Ministry of Women, Children and Social Protection, Ministry of Justice, Fiji Corrections Service, Electoral Commission and the Fijian Elections Office.
Also presenting were the Ministry of Agriculture, Waterways and Sugar Industry, the Judiciary, Ministry of Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management, Ministry of Policing and Communications, Fiji Police Force, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The consultations provide an opportunity for agencies to outline their strategic priorities, operational requirements and funding needs as Government prepares the 2026–2027 National Budget.
The National Budget will be announced by the Minister for Finance, Commerce and Business Development, Hon. Esrom Immanuel, in Parliament on 26 June 2026.
